Welp. It’s a good thing this couple is so hot because it was absolutely FREEEEEEZING outside on this shoot. Not to mention crazy windy. I was a literal ice cube and this gorgeous couple was a total trooper! Red noses and teary eyes and all.

I was more than happy to squeeze this shoot in over the holidays as our groom to be is also a Marine and was home for a limited time.

The best thing is that none of the smiles are fake. I know this because I tried to get them to pose serious and they literally couldn’t. It was windy and awful on this day, but how could I not end up with good pictures when I’m dealing with the world’s most photogenic couple.

These two are friends of mine and they are crazy happy and that makes me crazy happy for them. Gorgeous couple. Gorgeous ring. Hurry up and have kids already.

So…. I helped my friend out with her work booth for a local fun fair. We made cotton candy and snow cones all day and I took pictures. Let’s just say when kids are at their maximum sugar levels and there are clowns and magicians and toys surrounding them, they aren’t very excited to stop by for a casual portrait. Not only that, I was dealing with FLORESCENT lighting… so, I tried my best… and there were some CUTIES!

Oh that’s your 17th snow cone?? Well, who could say “no” to that face?.. not me!

Would you just take a look at these eyes?? Was it weird I was trying to follow her around all day? No, not with eyes like that.

Somebody help me. The cuteness is more than I can handle.

This would have been me… hiding behind the cotton candy…

He was checking me out all day….

Absolutely precious…. He was so excited about the magic show.

Winning the high school football state championship is kind of a big deal.

So we had to make sure to get some jersey shots along with Alex’s championship ring. I’m kinda happy emerald green is one of his school colors. Cus you know, that’s my favorite color and seeing it just puts me in a better mood.

Oh man. Well, we had all of the “H”s working against us on this one: heat, humidity, high noon sun. Ugh. But, we made it work and lost about ten pounds in sweat during the process. I even ran into my dad randomly walking on the street down town… never know where you’ll find that guy. I realize after seeing these, you might be thinking, “Does this girl know how to smile?” Well, in fact, it was hard to get her not to smile, however, I really fell in love with her serious pose and so I coerced her into a couple.

So, I’ve neglected this blog a bit. Part of that is cause it’s been winter and I’ve not been doing as many photo shoots. Part of it is cause I’ve started incorporating my photo shoots onto my other blog Blunt Delivery. Here you can read my full dissertation, including the scientific breakthrough that I made while doing on this photo shoot.

I’m off to eat one of the four boxes of ice cream crowding my freezer!

Guys, okay. I realize it has been a wee bit since I updated this blog. I’d say I’ve been too busy, but I don’t think Wheel of Fortune counts as ‘busy.’ Depends on who you ask.

But I have been busy with assorted projects including the new magazine I’m working for, planning an upcoming charity fundraiser, and of course, keeping up with my other blogs. Truce? And besides, this technically isn’t even a blog, per se. It is just a place for me to post photo previews and what not. Forgiven?
