How cool is it that Shaun and Erin (the bride + groom) met at a wedding we photographed two years ago? I guess we have Kyle and Katie to thank for this beautiful wedding you're about to see.
So... I looked back at the Matron of Honor as Erin, the bride, was walking down the aisle. I think we were the only two people who were aware that the groom wasn't waiting at the end. In Shaun's defense, no one had informed him the wedding was starting. And in Erin's defense, it was a narrow church so you couldn't see past all the people standing up. Neither of us wanted to yell out, "STOP, he's not here!" So, we just let her make her way to the end. Once she realized what was happening, the whole room burst out into hysterical laughter and Erin threw her flowers up in the air and said, "We're doing this again" and ran back down the aisle for a redo.
I think it was pretty much the perfect way to start a marriage.
I must say, that will go down as one of my favorite wedding memories of all time— but the best part was how Erin just rolled with it and embraced the moment. At almost every wedding we are a part of, something goes wrong. But weddings aren't about perfection and tiny monogrammed napkins. When you have a couple that is truly just excited to commit their lives to each other, it doesn't matter if everything goes wrong, they still have a blast.
And they had a blast. We had a blast. We all had a blast. And here's some of our favorite moments.
Whoops. Let's do that again.
There we go.
But like, where were you Shaun?
Loved this little pit stop at Erin's parent's house for some celebrating with the Dog of Honor, Ella.
But let's talk about the real reason we were all here: Ella. Ella had approximately 8,593 outfit changes and an equal amount of sandwiches.
We had never photographed a reception at Concorde Banquets before and it was just stunning!
And just when you thought this wedding couldn't get any cooler, there's a Cariacturist.
Congratulations Shaun and Erin!!
