Where do I start with Brad + Erica? Probably the most prepared bride ever, Erica booked us about 78 years ago, which was amazing because we were able to meet up in Hilton Head for their engagement photos while they were living in Charlotte and we were visiting.
Right off the bat, our sarcastic personalities clicked and I knew this was going to be a fun couple to hang out with. Update: they are. It was amazing to witness their wedding, full of people from all over the country, who came to celebrate them on a freezing, rainy Rockford day. They are truly loved and for good reason.
They chose to do a first look on the dock outside the Prairie Street Brewhouse, and then did a first dance to the song Collide. It was beautiful, and the connection between them is so easy to see.
I pulled Erica aside at the reception and I said, “I’m so happy for you. I can tell you guys truly, truly love each other.” And she responded, “We’re very different, but we don’t try to change each other. We just accept each other for who we are.” And I said, “Well then I think you’re going to have a long and happy life together.”
I am so excited to see what life has in store for you two. Here are some of our favorites from your beautiful day — we hope you feel all the feels.
xoxo, Brit
The response I got when I told Erica — don’t worry, this will be the first of many tears today.
Congratulations you two!!
