Let this little tale be of some comfort to future brides who dare to plan an outdoor wedding in the fickle Midwest. This lovely bride, Michele, had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony planned at Klehm Arboretum and all the way up until the morning of the event, the weather predicted thunderstorms. There was panicking involved on all accounts. Probably me more than her.
I don't think I need to conclude this story because it's pretty obvious what happened. Perfect weather? Uh, yes. Ceremony that made me cry? Probably. Bride and Groom that are too hot to handle? Absolutely. Stars aligned and birds chirping? That's a bit ridiculous.
We had such a great time at Luke and Michele's wedding - what a tremendously warm and fun couple. After the ceremony at Klehm, we took a few pictures with the bridal party downtown Rockford and then ended the evening with an intimate Abreo reception.
Although there weren't a ton of things in bloom yet at Klehm Arboretum, I was loving the quasi-fallish vibe of the grounds during this time of the year.
I can always tell when a bouquet is from Event Floral - they did my wedding flowers as well. They just do a stellar job overtime. This whimsical, pastel spring bouquet was everything!
I love Abreo and it's the perfect choice for an intimate wedding reception! Their food is always incredible.
