It's been a literal lifetime since we first met up with Josh and Marissa. Perhaps that was an incorrect usage of "literal," but I have a penchant for drama. Then last fall, we got to wander around Beloit and ride some bikes (them, not us) for their engagement session. And finally, this May they got married on a perfectly sunny day at gorgeous Anderson Gardens in Rockford, IL.
So, a quick observation. After zooming in on people's faces and watching them interact, there's always something that stands out about every couple. I realize that sounded borderline creepy, but just hold up. I can't help but notice the way Marissa looks at Josh - it's just the sweetest thing. You can sense the love and trust between them. And Josh almost made me cry during his vows. Actually, no, he did. And sidetone: it's rather hard to take pictures through teary eyes. It's a #firstworldphotographerproblem that just doesn't garner enough sympathy.
I'd also like to give a shoutout to the guests who were at our dinner table. We hearted them so hard and had a blast. Usually we just feel like the sweaty, weird, black clothes wearing people with equipment hanging around their necks who invaded a fancy dinner party. And although all those adjectives DO accurately describe us, we felt right at home. Actually, I wish I was right at home with them - particularly the ones who live in California.
So here are just a few of the highlights of the wedding. By the way: TOMS wedding shoes = best idea ever!
Hi - could you please find a cuter program hander-outer?
Oh, not possible? Cool.
Um, real quick. How rad is it that Marissa made individualized little lego people for EACH guest as a favor? Even us?!
Pretty rad.
Congrats Josh + Marissa!!
