Way back when I first started taking photos, I did some senior pictures for Lindsay’s sister, Mallory. Back in those days, I wanted nothing to do with dogs (she brought hers to the shoot, which I begrudgingly admitted was quite cute) and certainly nothing to do with weddings. Fast forward some years and here I am… sitting next to a goldendoodle named Bernie who runs my life, while I’m blogging wedding photos for Lindsay. Life is kind of funny that way, isn’t it?

In the words of the bride, Karen, during family formals: “Our family is really nice, I promise.” And you know what? Turns out… they are really nice…. and they’re also alot of fun. It was such an honor to spend the day with David and Karen’s family and friends for this beautiful winery wedding. Their day had a few tears, a ton of laughs (Karen could possibly have the most contagious smile on the planet), and a really, really cute little girl with a red headband. Where do I honestly start with this wedding? Once you see the photos you'll understand my struggle. This was our last event of the season and we got to shoot it at one of our favorite venues, DC Estate Winery in South Beloit, WI. We had the most beautiful fall weather, magical golden sunset light, a picture perfect bride and groom with gigantic + fun families, and the prettiest wedding dress in history. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT. Oh, I know. Plates full of Italian pastries? Because we had that too.
