In the words of the bride, Karen, during family formals: “Our family is really nice, I promise.” And you know what? Turns out… they are really nice…. and they’re also alot of fun. It was such an honor to spend the day with David and Karen’s family and friends for this beautiful winery wedding. Their day had a few tears, a ton of laughs (Karen could possibly have the most contagious smile on the planet), and a really, really cute little girl with a red headband. I might have included 7238973 photos of her. Sorry, not sorry.

Where do I honestly start with this wedding? Once you see the photos you'll understand my struggle. This was our last event of the season and we got to shoot it at one of our favorite venues, DC Estate Winery in South Beloit, WI. We had the most beautiful fall weather, magical golden sunset light, a picture perfect bride and groom with gigantic + fun families, and the prettiest wedding dress in history. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT. Oh, I know. Plates full of Italian pastries? Because we had that too.

Holy tears batman, grab your kleenex while you can.
SO... we've encountered a serious problem. Not as serious as when our AC stopped working a week ago, but close. We're running out of Blumer sister's weddings to photograph. Granted, Cole and I are happy that everyone is married, but this is a major dilemma. For us, anyway. Last year, we photographed Matt + Kory's wedding, and this year we got to shoot her sister Kelsey's wedding. To say we were excited about a Blumer family reunion would be slightly understating it. They are just bomb... polka dancing and all. Actually, that might be my favorite part?

So obviously I'm a little behind on my fall wedding blogs. It's only March, but who's counting. This wedding was a completely different experience - so laid back. So easy! Crammed, stressful timelines with lots of unpredictables are usually the norm (keeping it real) so this was a welcomed break in our packed fall schedule.
