Where do I honestly start with this wedding? Once you see the photos you'll understand my struggle. This was our last event of the season and we got to shoot it at one of our favorite venues, DC Estate Winery in South Beloit, WI. We had the most beautiful fall weather, magical golden sunset light, a picture perfect bride and groom with gigantic + fun families, and the prettiest wedding dress in history. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT. Oh, I know. Plates full of Italian pastries? Because we had that too.

We were so excited to shoot this beautiful fall wedding at The Brauer Barn in Winnebago, IL. Granted, it felt more like a mid-July wedding rather than late September, but for the purposes of this blog we're going to pretend it wasn't 1,439 degrees. By the way, if you're looking to have a barn wedding in the area - definitely look up The Brauer Barn! Not only is it a gorgeous space, but the owners are super awesome to work with and very accommodating.

So I came home from this wedding with a camera bag full of kleenex. I wish I could say it was due to all the happy tears, but it was definitely more because I came down with a massive sinus infection the night before. So I need to extend my apologies to anyone involved with or attending this wedding if I happened to look a tad miserable at any point. It wasn't you, it was me. You were all wonderfully and fun and made our jobs easy.

If there was an award for best smelling wedding reception - Ryan + Amanda's wedding would get it. Not only was lavender one of the accent colors, but the entire reception tent smelled of fresh lavender. We were all very relaxed and ready for sleep.
Not really. Everything was too awesome for that, but the smells were a bonus for sure.

Holy tears batman, grab your kleenex while you can.
SO... we've encountered a serious problem. Not as serious as when our AC stopped working a week ago, but close. We're running out of Blumer sister's weddings to photograph. Granted, Cole and I are happy that everyone is married, but this is a major dilemma. For us, anyway. Last year, we photographed Matt + Kory's wedding, and this year we got to shoot her sister Kelsey's wedding. To say we were excited about a Blumer family reunion would be slightly understating it. They are just bomb... polka dancing and all. Actually, that might be my favorite part?
