It's been a literal lifetime since we first met up with Josh and Marissa. Perhaps that was an incorrect usage of "literal," but I have a penchant for drama. Then last fall, we got to wander around Beloit and ride some bikes (them, not us) for their engagement session. And finally, this May they got married on a perfectly sunny day at gorgeous Anderson Gardens in Rockford, IL.

This was a beautiful vow renewal between two of my friends, Chad and Melissa, in an orange grove in Escondido, California. You will notice as you scroll through, that they have three of the cutest children imaginable. And I know what you're thinking - that would make for some awesome family photos. And you're right. Unfortunately, the oldest came down with the flu in the middle of the ceremony, the middlest was quite preoccupied by donuts, and the littlest is still a baby so, ya know. All of that to say that we didn't get a family picture afterwards, but you can check out Chad and Melissa's couple's session here.

Ohhhhhhh San Diego. Ohhhhh these two. I could tell a really, really long saga right now but I'll try to keep it short. Round about 2005, I met Chad through mutual friends. Since then, we were sort of joined at the hip for many tumultuous years of our twenties. I'll spare you the pictures because I like to keep this blog classy. So obviously I'm a little behind on my fall wedding blogs. It's only March, but who's counting. This wedding was a completely different experience - so laid back. So easy! Crammed, stressful timelines with lots of unpredictables are usually the norm (keeping it real) so this was a welcomed break in our packed fall schedule.

I'm facing two important issues right now. 1) I have no idea how to select only a few of these pictures for this blog. 2) I'm really hungry.
That being said, Josh and Michelle's wedding was incredible. We were so excited to be shooting the first wedding at Hazzard Free Farm in Pecatonica, IL. It was rustic and vintage and all the things make me happy. We had rain, we had clouds, we had a last minute ceremony location change, and it all couldn't have ended up any better. Somehow, we just attract awesome, easy going clients. It's probably due to my extensive screening process.
